L’aviye Appreciation Post
Well I guess I should say Happy New Year right????
Now… she doesn’t know I’m doing this… unless she is reading this now, but I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Abiye of L’AVIYE. For those who have been on Pursue:Inspire back when I was on Wordpress would remember I had a few blog posts about this brand including an interview and some photoshoots. However when I transfered to Squarespace ya girl lost the images AND my previous laptop also froze… with no back up…
On Social Media towards the end of last year, I started seeing the “How It Started vs How It’s Going” challenge and so here is one! On the left (or at the top depending on the device you are reading this on) is how the brand started as Accessories by Abiye and the right is how L’AVIYE is going (I brought the dress in the picture to celebrate my birthday in).
Now the mastermind Abiye is someone very dear to my heart and I am SO proud of the journey she has taken. From small room back in uni to warehouse. Single worker to a whole team. Being able to witness the growth has been so beautiful and this is just a short post to say well done Abiye! Your products are quality. Your service is great and your brand is stunning! Thank you for including me in the L’AVIYE journey at different points over the years. Honoured to be your first model - I will always be a supporter and I am sooooo proud of you!

Abiye was one of my first interviewees on P:I Talks, a segment in which I interviewed those pursuing their dreams, back in 29th September 2014. We will end with this advice she had for people who want to go for that dream they have, and it still rings true today.
“One thing that I have learnt during school, university and life in general is that the key to success is persistence. I think it’s also important to believe in yourself – surround yourself with people who encourage, inspire and motivate you! Business is tough, but you have to learn to be tougher if you want to make it.”
